President Alexander Volokhov was born in Odessa Oblast on January 26, 2007, but immediately moved to Donbass. The territory of Donbass was fairly well populated, but consisted of numerous villages. In the fall of 2016, enthusiast Alexander Volokhov decided to unite the entire territory into a single country — the Country of Reality. He became the first president of the Country of Reality and mayor of Volsash, which was founded on the same date and remains the capital of the Region of Volsash. The first buildings, unsurprisingly, were residential buildings. Presidential elections were held in the Country of Reality (2016). In the first months of its existence, the country was dependent on electricity. In December 2016, the President of the Country of Reality signed a decree authorizing the construction of a nuclear power plant near the customs office. It was completed at the same time. However, due to improper equipment configuration, an explosion occurred at the plant just a couple of weeks later. Fortunately, no environmental release was recorded. The plant was later restored and continues to operate, providing electricity to the entire country. In December 2016, Kirill Lotsman arrived in the Country of Reality — at first, an ordinary resident of Volsash. Thanks to his assistance, the GTA Hotel was built in Volsash, and a car network was established. However, Kirill wanted to found his own city, and on January 16, 2017, by decree of the President of the Country of Reality, a new city was created — Lotskir (now Tihomersk, Region of Volsash). Lotskir began to grow, and the first residential buildings appeared. In the spring and summer of 2017, the Country of Reality's army experienced its first test: unknown Germans illegally invaded the Country of Reality. They managed to take the main railway and cut off road connections between Volsash and Lotskir. An attempt was then made to storm Volsash, but it was unsuccessful. The troops began to retreat, then attempted to take Lotskir, but local troops, along with aid from Volsash, helped completely drive the enemy out of the Country of Reality. Construction began on the Roller Coaster in Lotskir — a massive entertainment project with tons of advertising throughout the Country of Reality. It was larger than Lotskir itself, becoming a landmark for the town. In 2018, a military construction worker visited the Country of Reality, intending to build a new military base for the Country of Reality. It was built that same year and included a couple of tank garages, barracks, a training ground, and other amenities. In January 2019, two men, whose names, unfortunately, have been lost, visited the country. They claimed to be professional builders and wanted to build a detention center, as the small cells in the Volsash and Lotskir police departments were unlikely to cope with the large influx of criminals. But in reality, they were trying to seize power in the country. The situation worsened when one of their friends was fired from his job. He began organizing unauthorized rallies with slogans like "Sasha is a Loser!", "Criminal Power!", and "Long Live the New Country of Reality!" The other man also joined him. That evening, grenade and gunshot explosions echoed throughout the Country of Reality. The rebels launched a nationwide uprising. It was suppressed, but the uprising caused significant damage to the country's infrastructure, with some buildings completely destroyed. In the spring of 2019, the President of the Country of Reality issued a decree linking the two cities via a subway. While laying the track, construction workers noticed a huge underwater lake and decided to build a reinforced glass wall there. This proved to be the main cause of the future flooding. At one point, the glass gave way, and water burst into the subway. The authorities quickly responded by installing stronger glass, but this proved to be a fatal mistake. Just a couple of hours later, the glass broke again, and the subway began filling with water. Around the same time, huge explosions were heard in Lotskir. It was a terrorist attack. However, the explosions were near the subway, and water from the already submerged subway began to rise and reach the surface. Water quickly began to fill the city, people panicked, and the first casualties began. The water almost reached the nuclear power plant in Volsash. The flood eventually ended, claiming the lives of 92,000 residents of Lotskir and 23,000 residents of Volsash. Monuments will be erected in Lotskir and what would become Scotland to commemorate this event. The flood completely destroyed the Lotskir roller coaster. At the end of summer 2019, Yegor Kalinin, a builder who built beautiful houses, was popular throughout the Country of Reality. His homes were the best in the Country of Reality. In August of that year, he expressed his desire to found his own city, and in September 2019, a new city appeared in the Country of Reality: Scotland. March-May 2020 are arguably the worst dates in the existence of the Country of Reality. On March 10, 2020, the first case of a new type of coronavirus was recorded in Scotland. Simultaneously, the virus began to spread to other cities, and the metro and all public places were closed. On March 20, the Country of Reality's Ministry of Health declared the outbreak a pandemic and ordered the production of a COVID-19 vaccine at a special medical lab in Scotland. Simultaneously, the Scottish currency began to fall, and prices rose steadily. People were unable to pay for their homes and were evicted. The situation was particularly critical in Scotland, where the economic crisis was so severe that illegal armed groups, or gangs, began to appear on its territory. On March 15, 2020, the so-called "Blue Gang" and "Red Gang" were founded. The gangs launched an armed uprising. The next day, the regular army of the Country of Reality was sent into the city, but the offensive achieved only limited success. Due to the economic crisis and the pandemic, an increasing number of people defected to the gangs. By April, Scotland was practically uncontrolled by official authorities. During this period, so-called "dealers" gained popularity, paying money for dirty work. Many residents burglarized other people's rooms to make a living. The police station was under government control, connected to the main area by a narrow strip, which the gangs attempted to cut off, thereby surrounding and taking the station. In early May, both the pandemic and the gang violence began to subside, and by the summer, the country began to emerge from the economic crisis. In total, over 12,000 people died as a result of these events, and over 55,000 were injured. By the end of summer 2020, the country had returned to its previous economic course. Around the same time, Microsoft was founded in the country, beginning to develop operating systems for personal computers. Windows 1.x and Windows 2.x were released, as well as the mprint utility.
In March 2021, the Country of Reality began seeking its first diplomatic ties with other states, submitting an application to the Organization of the United Virtual Nations. At the same time, it established diplomatic relations with the Aryan Republic. Together, they formed a political union of diplomatic states, and the Aryan Republic began supplying machines to the Country of Reality. By the end of March, the Country of Reality and the Aryan Republic had strong diplomatic ties. However, as time passed, the AP CR began to receive information that the Aryan Republic was, in fact, a true totalitarian regime. This was confirmed by sending CR FSB agents to the Aryan Republic. The supposedly "democratic" country became analogous to North Korea. Having gathered its thoughts at an emergency meeting, the State Duma of the Country of Reality decided to launch a military invasion of the Aryan Republic. On March 30, 2021, the Country of Reality's troops crossed the border of the Aryan Republic. Forty divisions marched on the Aryan Republic, against just one from the AR. Having captured some territory, the AR capitulated a couple of hours later, ceding some territory and effectively becoming a puppet of the Country of Reality. On April 6, 2021, the Country of Reality joined the United Nations General Assembly and began building diplomatic relations with its members. As a relatively developed state, the Country of Reality became a co-founder of the United Nations General Assembly, along with the Zerzian Republic and Ashol, with whom the Country of Reality currently lacks diplomatic relations. In mid-April, the country acquired and tested its first atomic bomb. On May 19, 2021, it became a permanent member of the United Virtual Nations' Organization General Assembly Security Council. Around April 24, power in the Aryan Republic was very unstable, changing hands almost weekly. By then, it was already an independent state, but its political situation was unstable. On April 24, the Aryan Republic Council decided to join the Country of Reality. Troops were immediately deployed to the Aryan Republic and a referendum was held, resulting in a majority vote in favor of joining the CR. However, this state of affairs did not please everyone, and mass rallies in support of the independence of the new country, the SSR, took place in some cities. Since the CR was a democratic state, it was forced to make concessions and recognize the new power. Over time, the SSR regained most of the territory it had held on April 24. At that time, the Country of Reality and the SSR had strong and warm diplomatic relations. The level of relations declined slightly after the change of power, when the SSR became the PFR. On June 7, 2021, a currency reform was implemented. The real is now the sole official currency. In June 2021, the Country of Reality launched a space program aimed at developing the CR as a space power: stations were built on the Moon, Mars, and even asteroids, and a space station was established in Earth orbit. In June 2021, an accident occurred at a nuclear power plant in the KDR: a power unit exploded, causing an increase in radiation levels in the Country of Reality. The President of the CR decided on the need to rebuild the nuclear power plant. Much was rebuilt: safety was improved, an AZ-5 key was added, a reactor control room was built, the reactor itself was moved underground, computer automation was installed, and a uranium storage facility was built. A railway was built from the mine to the uranium storage facility to ensure the plant regularly receives nuclear fuel. In 2021, the Country of Reality participated in many military conflicts: the Nazarek War, the Introduction of Troops into Prunsia, the Alexandrian War, the Introduction of Troops into Agaria (the fight against terrorism), the War with Unicorland, the War with Snowgrad (see also other conflicts below). On June 30, 2021, the Country of Reality began pursuing a colonial policy and began expanding its territory. In June, a slightly larger portion of the Luhansk Oblast was captured. In July, a border with Slingonia and Zerzia was established, Moscow was captured, large swaths of Russia and Ukraine were seized, and the colonization of Morocco began. In October, the colonization of Morocco was completed, Western Sahara was colonized, and the colonization of Algeria and Tunisia began. In December, the colonization of Senegal, Mauritania, and Guinea began, and a border with Sqr United was established. At the end of 2021, the Country of Reality occupies 3,698,200 square kilometers, including parts of Russia and Ukraine, French Guinea, Morocco, Western Sahara, parts of Algeria and Tunisia, parts of Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, parts of Togo and Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, parts of Egypt and Turkey, and parts of India and Bangladesh. The Country of Reality borders Zeitland, Talonsk, Slingonia, Zerzia, Pavlen, the Duspean Empire, the USSR, Sqr United, Lugovskoe, the Indian Confederation, and Braslavia. Technology continued to advance in the Country of Reality. On July 17, 2021, Microsoft, just two years after the release of Windows 2.0, released Windows 3.0, an improved version of Windows. On July 23, 2021, Windows 3.1 was released, and on July 25, Windows 3.1 for Workgroups. Windows NT 3.1 was later released. Back in 2019, shortly before the founding of Scotland, Volsash Ship Company began construction of the Titanic at the Volsash shipyard. By approximately July 2021, all major construction was completed. On July 27, 2021, it was announced that Titanic would depart on August 10. Tickets for Titanic went on sale on July 31, 2021. On August 10, 2021, Titanic departed, arriving in Zerziah by evening. On August 11, she arrived in the Caucasus. The ship accelerated to full speed and departed for the DRK. On the morning of August 14, Titanic began receiving numerous ice warnings, and the ship's management even altered course to a more westerly course to avoid icebergs. However, at 11:40 PM, the ship was unable to turn in time and collided with an iceberg, prompting the evacuation. On August 15 at 2:20 a.m., the Titanic sank completely, taking 1,496 people with it to the bottom. Only 712 were saved. Another ship from the Country of Reality, the Carpathia, arrived at the wreck site and headed for the Titanic's final destination, Chartson. On August 18, 2021, the Carpathia, accompanied by a press escort, arrived in Chartson. The port of Chartson was occupied by a very large number of people, and the Titanic disaster sparked global tension. The entire world mourned the loss of the ship and the many lives lost. In October 2021, it was announced that presidential elections would be held in CR, and party registration and political campaigning began. On November 1, the elections themselves began, with four candidates competing: Alexander Volokhov (Free Reality), the Socialist Party of the Country of Reality (Oleg Kabanov), the People's Commerce Party Grusha (Anton Fedorov), and the "Madness" party (Andriy Shevchenko). The results of the elections (which had to be re-held due to a complaint from the People's Commerce Party Grusha (PKKG)), led to Alexander Volohov winning with 55.56% of the vote. The Country of Reality began developing diplomatic relations with Lhasa, resulting in the latter effectively becoming a vassal and satellite of the Country of Reality. The Country of Reality began investing in its development, purchasing bonds from Lhasa, which were later divided among the citizens of the Country of Reality. Around November 12, 2021, workers at a military factory in Volsash went on strike. They called themselves "Blackshirts" and demanded that the factory be turned over to a cooperative. CR services remained inactive. Meanwhile, more and more people were defecting to the fascists, including the head of one of Volsash largest banks. The peaceful protest turned into an armed uprising, and the workers forcibly seized the military factory and its surroundings. An anti-fascist operation began, which ultimately resulted in the defeat of the fascists. But this was not the end, as a new uprising later broke out in Yankton, much more successful than the previous one. The uprising was going very well, with almost the entire city under fascist control, supplies to CR troops virtually cut off, and the city was destroyed. However, with the help of Zeitland and his super-heavy tanks, the city was recaptured. The fascists were imprisoned, as was their leader. He declared that he would write his war memoirs in his cell. On December 22, a press conference began at TUS, where Country of Reality and other TUS members discussed their technological developments and plans. Microsoft, Intel, Google, and others participated on behalf of Country of Reality. In December 2021, a new state emerged—the Gesian Union. Initially, the Country of Reality was neutral toward its emergence, but the Gesian Union began to show signs of being far from its best, violating human rights and threatening other states. In mid-December, the ANGS declared war on the Gesian Union, but military action was rather sluggish. The Country of Reality had already begun supplying food and weapons to the ANGS and its allies. On December 25, the head of the ANGS officially appealed for assistance to the Country of Reality, and the CR was forced to intervene in the conflict. Immediately after the CR offensive began, the GS was completely captured, once again demonstrating the military might of the Country of Reality. On January 3, 2022, Andriy Shevchenko, a deputy from the Country of Reality, was arrested for the massacre of residents of the Country of Reality. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A short time later, due to an air war between CR and Zeitland, the Grusha party lost its leader due to a lack of confidence in him. Effectively, only Alexander Volokhov remained in the State Duma, and the functions of the State Duma were effectively transferred to the Federation Council. In February 2022, the Agricultural Bank was forced to default in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. This worsened the economic situation of the peasants, and simultaneously, they began an uprising against the government of the CR. The uprising was supported by the Cossacks, as well as many officers of the SR army in these regions. On February 5, 2022, the Cossacks entered the city of Scotland without a fight, at which point active hostilities began, with attacks on rebel-controlled ports. By lunchtime, a hotline was established between the president of the CR and the rebel leader, Bohdan Zubov. Zubov demanded that "the state assume all the obligations of the Agricultural Bank, grant the Cossacks political representation in parliament equal to 30% of the seats, expand the powers of the Sich, allow the Cossacks to have their own navy, and reduce the prices for arms supplies to the Kherson army." The CR government agreed to some conditions, but refused others, and the war continued. During the fighting, the Cossacks invaded the territory of the Duspean Republic and the Pavlen Republic. By 1:00 PM, having gathered their forces, the Armed Forces of the CR launched a surprise and massive attack on the Cossacks, but the fighting was incredibly bloody and inconclusive. Finally, at 1:54 PM, the President of the CR accepted the proposals, creating a new federal subject – the Kazan Autonomous Region. The Cossacks withdrew their troops from the territory of the Duspean Republic but decided to remain in Pavlen. Despite all attempts, the Cossacks refused to leave unless they received 700,000 reals. Paying them such sums was dangerous, so from that moment on, Kherson was effectively occupied by the Country of Reality. The Cossacks began to develop their autonomy and launch their own expeditions, including the legendary "Gorbunik" expedition. In March 2022, during a conversation, DRQ President Nikita Frolov informally and informally insulted Nikita Afanasyev, a resident of the Country of Reality. Despite the seemingly innocuous incident, the Country of Reality responded with military blackmail and threats against the DRQ. In late March 2022, reports emerged that the Country of Reality government was preparing to invade the DRQ. On March 27, 2022, a fivefold increase in the regular army in Bangladesh was observed. The Country of Reality also exerted political and economic pressure on the republic. As a result, martial law was declared in the DRQ, an emergency evacuation of civilians began, the country began preparing for defence, and diplomatic relations between the Country of Reality and the DRQ became extremely tense. However, the parties were able to reach an agreement and resolve the incident. Subsequently, diplomatic relations between the Country of Reality and the DRQ have remained stable. By April 2022, the Country of Reality had completely colonized Bangladesh, and on April 2, 2022, the Bangladesh Colony was officially established there, headed by Governor Nikita Afanasyev. Exactly one day later, the colony was transformed into a territory, construction of the city of Utrob began, and a month later, Bangladesh became a full-fledged federal subject. Subsequently, Bangladesh was transformed into the Komi Republic, headed by President Nikita Afanasyev, and Utrob was renamed Ust-Susolsk by order of the President of the Komi Republic. In 2022, the Country of Reality saw significant advances in technology, with Microsoft releasing numerous new operating systems, including Windows NT 3.51. Intel released an incredible number of new processor solutions, including the revolutionary Intel 8086. Other companies also contributed, including VMother, VMemory, NVIDIA, Rockstar Games, and others. On June 12, 2022, the President of the CR nearly died due to the collapse of Bulgaria. A military coup was staged in Sqr United, but the government was saved. Despite this, the President needed to recover, and Nikita Afanasyev was appointed acting President of the CR. On June 15, the situation escalated along the DRQ-Manchuria border. The FSB of the CR and the SVR of the CR were already aware of Manchuria's plans and sent reinforcements to the republic. This ultimately led to a full-scale war, during which Manchuria and its allies were defeated. It was later discovered that the war had been orchestrated by the secret services of the Duspean Republic, which resulted in diplomatic isolation. However, thanks to the efforts of CR diplomats and the work of the Duspean government, the isolation was lifted. After a year of the OOVG's existence, numerous problems were noted, including the inadequacy of the new states and the inaction of the administration (CR was also a member of the administration). Ultimately, in July 2022, the Country of Reality and Sqr United issued a joint statement leaving the UVNO, creating their own organization, the UVNO. It was intended to serve as a platform for diplomatic relations between CR, Sqr United, and Lhasa, not as a replacement for the UVNO. However, despite this, the organization experienced an influx of people, and virtually the entire old OVNO moved to the UVN. On October 30, 2022, a military coup occurred in Sqr United, bringing fascists to power. Their first act was to threaten the Country of Reality and Dusiburg with war, and provocations began along the state borders. Sometime later, the new government launched a nuclear attack on the Country of Reality, activating nuclear alerts in all cities of CR. However, the missile was successfully shot down. The Sqr United partisan movement and the FSB of CR were able to assist Tymur Slyva in restoring his power, and by the end of the day, the military coup was suppressed.
In 2025, following the Great War, Ivan Rezchikov, a President of the Duspean Republic, initiated negotiations on the unification of the Country of Reality and the Duspean Republic into a single democratic federation. Alexander Volokhov was a member of the interparliamentary assembly that adopted the Constitution of the European Federation.
Alexander Volokhov's presidency began on April 4, 2026, with his inauguration as the first President of the European Federation. He became president following the 2026 presidential election, the first in the history of the European Federation, in which he was the only candidate. Volokhov was 19 years old at the time of his election. Before the election, he was widely known in the country as the President of the Country of Reality, the Commander-in-Chief of its armed forces, and a member of the Interparliamentary Assembly. From the moment the Constitution was adopted, society assumed he would become the first president. Through Volokhov's efforts, the first federal government was established, all senior executive officials were appointed, many traditions of political life were established, and the site for the country's permanent capital was chosen. Volokhov's tenure was marked by the European Federation's transition to the "Peace Through Strength" doctrine, the construction of a total defensive barrier (the "Volokhov Line"), the deep integration of IT giants into the defense industry, and a staunch defense of the Union's sovereignty on the international stage. Vice President and key ally in the Cabinet is President of Senate Ivan Rezchikov, who forms a ruling political tandem with the President. Alexander Volokhov's presidential term began on April 4, 2026, the day the Constitution of the European Federation came into force. He was elected president alongside Ivan Rezchikov, the former head of the Duspean Republic. The inauguration was originally planned for the Capitol building, but it had not yet been built, so it was held on "Inauguration Island" — a practice that would later become a political tradition. From the first days of his presidency, a dispute erupted over the political balance between the president and vice president. Many voters believed the vice president should be called "prime minister," while the president should be the nominal head of state. Volokhov strongly opposed this, calling for adherence to the Constitution. On April 5, 2026, he appointed his first cabinet, consisting of the secretaries of foreign affairs, internal affairs, defense, finance, and development. Four administrators were also appointed: the FAA, the Office of Maritime Affairs, the Federal Intelligence Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A few days later, the President signed the first federal laws passed by Congress. One of the first political crises was the Polish question: the Ukrainian government requested federal support in annexing Lviv and other Ukrainian territories belonging to the Ukrainian People's Republic of Poland, another federal subject. Volokhov sided with Ukraine and demanded that the People's Republic of Poland hand over the territories, promising to compromise on this issue. The People's Republic of Poland government abruptly refused and terminated negotiations. The incident was resolved by Vice President Ivan Rezchikov, who sided with the PAR, declaring that if Volokhov wanted to seize the territories by force, it would be a violation of the Constitution. In response, Volokhov, realizing the impossibility of seizing the land by force, attempted to pass a census law, but this sparked heated debate in the Senate, and the law was not passed. This was the first test of the young democracy and the functioning of its checks and balances. The incident proved that the Constitution of the European Federation is a working mechanism, not a mere formal text. On April 9, 2026, the President took measures to enhance the country's defense capability and unify the two armies of the former independent states. He facilitated the resettlement of John D. Rockefeller from Texas and his establishment of the "Bank of Europe." Volokhov advocates the abolition of territories where federal subjects have not yet been formed, but the process is moving very slowly. While in the Country of Reality, all territory was under the control of a subject, in the Dusiburg Republic, many lands were under Congressional jurisdiction. By April 17, construction of the Capitol and the expansion of the new capital, Liberty City, were underway, with the state of Dusiburg being the primary sponsor. Also during Volokhov's presidency, aircraft manufacturers such as Secular, Volsash Airships, Sokol, and others launched numerous new aircraft models, including the Secular 737 Classic, VA-10, and Il-96. On April 19, 2026, a new virus was detected in Poland. It subsequently spread worldwide, causing a massive global crisis. Volohov mobilized federal government resources to combat it and, through presidential decrees, instituted strict countermeasures. The European Federation's economic model under Volokhov relies on a robust budget and public-private partnerships with IT industry leaders. The development of the Region of Volsash and the state of Dusiburg transformed the European Federation into a global technological hegemon. Under Volokhov, the military-industrial complex reform initiated by Ivan Rezchikov took place. The system forced corporations to compete fiercely for government contracts, improving product quality. Alexander Volokhov's presidency was also marked by new technological developments – the Intel Pentium 4, Kotosoft SDRAM, and NVIDIA RIVA TNT 2. Furthermore, other technology companies such as FSP, Samsung, IBM, and others began producing more modern computer components, and the software industry also developed, with the development of Microsoft Windows XP beginning. On April 5, 2026, the Russian Empire conducted a nuclear test literally on the border with the European Federation, prompting the President to convene an emergency joint session of Congress. Foreign policy was entrusted to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the Vice President, as head of the Cabinet. On May 10, the Russian Empire took control of large areas of the German Empire, where the virus was raging. President Volokhov was forced to respond by sending troops into Germany on May 12 and closing the airspace of the European Federation to civilian aircraft. On June 13, 2026, an incident occurred over the Polish Autonomous Republic, during which F-20s intercepted three MiG-29s and one U-20. The aircraft were spotted by A-50 AWACS and FA-125 AWACS. The incident led to negotiations between businessmen and increased growth of the Federation's military-industrial complex. On June 18, 2026, the Russian Empire began a blockade of Sakhalin, a subject of the European Federation. In response, on June 19, the Congress of the European Federation declared war on the Russian Empire. The war was long and bloody, but it also exposed the obvious shortcomings of the UVN, namely, the complete lack of leadership and administrative oversight. Consequently, the European Federation embarked on a course of action to create its own resources.
